Sancerre Blanc - La Merisière

Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon blanc grape variety is used.

 

Terroirs:

Our Sancerre blanc are produced on clay-limestone soils, sometimes with pebbles, and flint.

 

Winemaking:

In stainless steel tanks, fermentation takes place slowly thanks to temperature regulation. Then this wine is ageing on fine lees for several months and finally bottling in spring.

 

Tasting:

Sancerre blanc 2022:

Beautiful light gold color. The nose opens elegantly on  notes of citrus and ripe fruits ...

Gourmet mouth, full with freshness, which expresses the olfactory aromas with a very pleasant finish.

 

Food-wine matches:

The Sancerre blanc "La Merisière" can be enjoyed on its own. It is also delicious with starters, seafood, fish and certain cheeses particularly goats'.

 

Service:

Serve at around 10-12°C.

Ready to drink, for the 5 years following the harvest.

Sancerre Rosé - La Merisière

Grape variety: 100% Pinot noir grape variety is used.

 

Terroirs:

Our Sancerre rosé are produced on clay-limestone soils, sometimes with pebbles.

 

Winemaking:

Vinified by direct pressing (as in white vinification), possibly supplemented by bleeding a vat of red at the start of fermentation.

Bottling in spring.

 

Tasting:

Sancerre rosé 2022:

The color is a beautiful salmon pink. Very fruity, the bouquet is dominated by aromas of small red fruits - redcurrant, wild strawberry. In the mouth, nice attack on the freshness, we find the fruity notes in a full mouth until the finish.

Food-wine matches:

It will be the ideal companion for your starters, mixed salads, cold meats, grilled fish or meats prepared on the barbecue…

 

Service:

Serve at around 10° C.

Ready to drink, for the 2 years following the harvest.

Sancerre Rouge - La Merisière

Grape variety: 100% Pinot noir grape variety is used.

 

Terroirs:

Our Sancerre rouge are produced on clay-limestone soils, sometimes with pebbles.

 

Winemaking:

Fermentation of around 10 days.

End of alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Maturing on malolactic lees for several months.

Bottled after 1 year of maturing.

 

Tasting:

Sancerre rouge "La Merisière" 2020:

With a garnet color, this red Sancerre delivers a beautiful aromatic intensity to the nose: black cherry, spices ...
The mouth is structured, rich, with melted tannins which support it perfectly. We find the aromas of black fruits until the finish.

 

Food-wine matches:

Serve with cold meats, red or grilled meats, cheeses…

 

Service:

Serve at around 16-18° C.

Ready to drink, for the 2 to 5 years following the harvest.
